Breakfast and lunch prices will increase five cents beginning in the 2013-14 school year. 

The new prices are $1.80 for lunch and $0.90 for breakfast.School Lunch

First Day of SchoolSchool will begin August 26, 2013 for students.  Kindergarten students will be on a staggered entry.  Kindergarten students whose last names begin with A – M will attend school Monday, August 26.  Kindergarten students who last names begin with N – Z will attend school Tuesday, August 27.  All Kindergarten students will attend school Wednesday, August 28.  Students may enter the building at 7:15 a.m. (first bell).  All students should be in their classrooms by 7:50 a.m.  Students are considered tardy after 7:50 a.m.  Dismissal is at 2:20 p.m. daily.

Summer Hours

Summer office hours at Howard Hall Elementary School are from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.  The office is closed on Fridays until August 23rd.  If you have any questions about registration or other school-related issues, please call 910-822-5100.

Tax Free WeekendThe tax-free weekend for general merchandise purchased in North Carolina is scheduled for August 2-4, 2013 and applies to the following items:

Clothing, footwear, and school supplies under $100

Sports and recreation equipment under $50

Computers under $3,500

School Registration

Students may be registered for school Monday – Thursday from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.  Please bring the following items to the school with you:

1.  Final report card from previous school

2.  Proof of address (must be a utility bill or mortgage statement dated within the last 30 days)

3.  Birth certificate

4.  Shot record

Prime TimePrime Time After School Care is available at Howard Hall Classical Elementary from 2:20 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday during the school year.  Prime Time will resume August 19th, 2013.  Prime Time has been a trusted child care provider for thousands of families for more than 22 years and is a North Carolina Division of Child Care Development 3-star licensed program.  Prime Time’s objective is to provide a comprehensive before and after school care program for children.  Our goal is to help children develop their fullest potential.
